I also placed DJI Mic recorders on the groom and officiant as independent backup sources. This layered audio workflow protected the ceremony against wind, wireless interference, mixer problems, or changes in microphone volume. During post-production, I could select and combine the cleanest recordings so the couple’s vows remained clear and natural.
Adding Personal Voices Through Bridal-Party Interviews
In addition to the ceremony audio, I recorded several short and informal interviews with members of the bridal party. I asked them to share personal, meaningful, and sometimes playful thoughts about Lauren and Brandon.
These interviews provided original storytelling material that could not have been captured through visuals alone. During editing, I selected the strongest lines and used them to add personality, context, and emotional depth to the film.
Working with Golden-Hour Light
The ceremony and couple portraits took place as the sunlight became lower and warmer. I positioned Lauren and Brandon with the sun behind them whenever possible, creating soft backlighting, warm highlights, and occasional silhouette-style images.
